Seminar on basic and comprehensive innovation in Vietnamese education
To implement guidance of the Party Cadre Committee of Ministry of Education and Training on effectively deploying the Resolution of the 11th Party National Congress on innovation in Vietnamese education, a seminar was held on December 22 at Lac Hong University to discuss above contents.
The seminar aims to deploy the official correspondence No 706/CV-CDN from National Education Union of Vietnam on innovation in education. The Executive Committee of Lac Hong Trade Union has widely popularized it to all of the Union groups and call on them to contribute suggestions in writing. The main question to be clear is what the Trade Union has to do to contribute to basic and comprehensive innovation in Vietnamese education. As a result, the Executive Committee has selected 6 typical articles focusing on innovative issues in Vietnamese education, specifically “Ensuring life for teachers”. At the seminar, the participants focused on discussing main issues: building a strong teaching staff; policies ensuring life for teachers and staff; treating and respecting teachers; democracy in campuses; training and fostering union officers and the role of union in building mentioned policies.
After the seminar, contributions and suggestions will be collected and sent to the National Education Union of Vietnam to prepare a regional conference on basic and comprehensive innovation in Vietnamese education in 2012.
The seminar attracts the great interest and participation of a large number of teachers and staff.
