LHU honored for patriotic emulation movement 2012

In the morning of May 4, a ceremony was held by Dong Nai province People’s Committee at provincial Conference Centre to review patriotic emulation movements 2012 and sign the covenant 2013.

The ceremony was attended by Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Ly - Deputy Head of Southern Emulation and Commendation Committee; Mr. Dinh Quoc Thai - Chairman of provincial People's Committee, Chairman of provincial Emulation and Commendation Council ; Mr. Tran Van Tu - Commissioner of provincial Standing Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Council, Mr. Vy Van Vu -Commissioner of provincial Standing Committee, Chairman of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Mr Nguyen Thanh Tri - Vice Chairman of provincial People's Committee; representatives of 19 emulation clusters. Also, LHU's Vice Rector Meritorious Teacher Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Lan, representatives of offices and departments attended the event.

According to provincial Emulation and Commendation Council, 2012 saw a lot of difficulties due to economic recession. However, thanks to patriotic emulation movements launched widely, the province has overcame obstacles and gained many achievements in all fields. The movement of patriotic emulation has been taking place at all fronts and social activities, classified according to clusters, departments in the locality.

At the ceremony, LHU was honored to receive First Class Emulation Flag following Decision No. 1156/QD by provincial People's Committee for its achievements in education and training activity.

In early 2012, in order to acknowledge contributions made by individuals in education and training, the State President conferred People’s Teacher title on Dr. Do Huu Tai - LHU Rector, Chairman of the Trustees Board. And today, LHU was honored to be at the ceremony. Looking back 2012, LHU has made significant contributions to the province’s development such as the champion of Robocon Vietnam, the second winner at Asia-Pacific Robocon contest, first and second prizes at Vietnam Young Science Talent Award, high prizes at Vietnam Technology and Science Creation contest, ... It has become a leading educational unit of Cluster 17, and a typical unit in emulation movements like "Building friendly school, active students", "Good teaching, good learning", campaign "Each teacher is a moral, self-taught and creative example", "Preventing negative aspects in examinations",....

On the occasion, 30 collectives in the locality were awarded First Class Emulation Flag. 13 got Second Class Emulation Flag. 4 received Third Class Emulation Flag and 60 got certificates of merit by the provincial People's Committee.
