LHU martial arts club established

In response to the movement of learning and following President Ho Chi Minh's moral example and to create a healthy playground for students to take physical exercise. Upon acceptance and consent by the University Management Board, the Youth Union - Student Association officially opened a martial arts club named LHU martial arts club. On May 8, at the campus 3, the club founding ceremony took place and the two first martial arts classes namely Taekwondo and Traditional Vietnamese martial arts were established .

Attending the ceremony was Meritorious Teacher Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Lan - Vice Rector, comrade Le Son Quang - Secretary of Youth Union, comrade Tran Tien - Vice Secretary of Standing Committee of YU, Vu Van Tuan - Vice Secretary of YU, Ms. Le Thi Hieu and Nguyen Viet Hung - Manager and Deputy Manager of Dormitory Management Board, respectively, Tran Van Nguyen - Chairman of University Veteran Association and more than 100 registered learners.

At the event, comrade Tran Tien passed the decision to establish the club on behalf of the Youth Union - Student Association. The club led by Chairman Vo Ngoc Vinh included members: Tran Minh Tung in charge of Taekwondo and Nguyen Van Minh in charge of Traditional Vietnamese martial arts.

The club was enthusiastically supported by a large number of students, especially great care from the University Management Board. On behalf of it, Vice Rector Nguyen Thi Thu Lan delivered a speech and gave precious suggestions to the club.

After the speech of the University Management Board, Secretary of Youth Union Le Son Quang awarded the decision on the establishment of the club to the Chairman Vo Ngoc Vinh.

On the occasion, some martial arts items were performed at the club opening ceremony.
