Lac Hong Robocon teams to be honored

In the morning of June 7, the 65th Anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s Calling for Patriotic Emulation (June 11, 1948 – June 11, 2013) was held at Dong Nai Convention and Events Center and the Party and the Government’s noble prizes were awarded to excellent collectives and individuals.

The anniversary was attended by Member of the Central Party and Secretary of Dong Nai Party Committee Tran Dinh Thanh, Deputy Secretary of Dong Nai Party Committee and Vice Chairman of Dong Nai People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai People’s Committee Tran Minh Phuc, Vice Chairwoman of Dong Nai People’s Council Huynh Thi Nga, Chairman of the provincial Fatherland Front Vy Van Vu, Vice Chairman of People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Tri, heroes of the people's armed forces, heroes of labour, leaders of departments, agencies and localities. LHU's Secretary of Party Committee Nguyen Trung Phuong, Vice Rectors Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Lan, Dr. Diep Cam Thu and Lam Thanh Hien, M.A, Head of Administrative Affairs Le Minh Man, instructors and members of Robocon teams attended the ceremony.

According to statistics, up to now, Dong Nai has had 3,827 individuals awarded French Resistance War Medal, 34,000 awarded American Resistance War Medal by the President. There are 294 collectives and 164 individuals awarded Labor Medal at difference levels, one collective awarded Yellow Star Medal, one collective and one individual receiving Ho Chi Minh Medal. Dong Nai is also the province which has many individuals who are conferred Meritorious and People titles for doctors, teachers and artists. Over the past 15 years, LHU has been honored to have one People's Teacher title, three Meritorious Teacher titles and 10 Second-class and Third-class Labor Medals.

The ceremony also took place an exchange program among typical individuals in patriotic movement such as Hero of the people's armed forces Le Ba Uoc, Meritorious Teacher Tran Anh Dung - Principal of Luong The Vinh high school, Meritorious Doctor Nguyen Ngoc Thanh - Deputy Director of United General Hospital, and excellent faces of Lac Hong Robocon teams.

Accordingly, there were 194 collectives including 3 Second-class Labor Medal receivers, 35 collectives and individuals awarded Third-class Labor Medal, 84 collectives and individuals awarded certificates of merit by the Prime Minister and 65 cadres awarded certificates of merit  by the Chairman of provincial People’s Committee . In addition, the Chairman of Dong Nai People’s Committee awarded certificates of merit to Lac Hong Robocon teams for their excellent achievements at Robocon Vietman 2013 with a total value of VND 180 million.
