Study in Taiwan scholarship offered to LHU teachers and students

With the hope of offering teachers and students opportunities to get best education, on February 21, Rector of LHU Dr. Do Huu Tai warmly received a delegation from Taiwan Education Information Center in Vietnam (TEIC) including Dr. Tran Uc  Nhan - Head of Education Department; Director  Po – Tsang Huang, Ph.D -  Assistant Professor of Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering of Chung Yuan Christian University.

The reception also mentioned the cooperation to organize the seminar "Introduction of scholarship programs of Taiwan's government and universities".

At the working session with LHU, the delegation mentioned the bilateral cooperation between the two sides. Firstly, lecturers and students of LHU are facilitated to approach diversified learning environments and attend crash courses in Taiwan. After the meeting of the two sides, the delegation moved to the room B 203 to meet and exchange with teachers and students at the seminar.

Here, the seminar focused on the four main contents consisting of

- Taiwan government’s scholarship - encouraging Vietnamese outstanding students to study in Taiwan, aiming to contribute to cultural exchange and socio – economic development of Vietnam and Taiwan.

- Chinese language scholarship of Taiwan Ministry of Education and Training - encouraging Vietnamese students to learn Chinese language, study and get used to culture of Taiwan, boosting cultural exchange and reinforcing understanding and friendship betwen the two sides.

- VEST 500 scholarship (Vietnamese Elite Study in Taiwan) - a project based on "Vietnam - Taiwan Education Cooperation Agreement, stage 2008 - 2020", supporting 500 teachers at master and doctoral levels in Taiwan.

- Test Of Chinese as a Foreign Language (TOCFL) held in Vietnam.

At the seminar, participants were provided full scholarship information including numbers of scholarship, preferences, training programs, recruitment requirements,... Hopefully, with provided detailed information at the seminar, LHU teachers and students will have good preparation as well as right decisions to approach Taiwan's scholarships.

Representatives of the two sides are exchanging useful information at the working session.

The seminar has brought many study abroad opportunities to LHU teachers and students.
