Seven robot teams of LHU named for the final round of Robocon Vietnam 2014

Seven teams from Lac Hong University and their rivals gathered at the final round of the Robocon Vietnam 2014 which was kicked off at Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province on May 6.

32 best teams gathered at the Robocon Vietnam 2014 opening ceremony.

The final round saw the participation of 32 strong teams selected from qualifying rounds in three areas over the country, North, South and Central, beating 161 others from 40 universities, colleges and vocational training schools nationwide. Robocon 2014, the 13rd of its kind, is co-organized by the Toyota Motors Vietnam and Vietnam Television.

After the opening ceremony of Robocon Vietnam 2014, matches of A and B tables took place. Eight teams competed 12 battles filled with excitement and thrill. Two teams of Lac Hong University LH-Q and LH-112 were selected to enter the next round.

On the sidelines of the competition, Lac Hong University also has two robot items displayed at the Robocon Techshow 2014 exhibition which will be held on the occasion, aiming at encouraging students to apply their knowledge from Robocon competitions to study and manufacture high-tech and useful products for life.

At the Robocon Vietnam 2013, teams from Lac Hong university in Dong Nai province reaped all three top prizes. To date, Lac Hong University teams have won the championship four times; in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.

The winner of the finale will represent Vietnam to attend the Asian-Pacific Robot Contest titled "A Salute for Parenthood" which is scheduled for August this year in India to compete with teams from 20 countries in the world.
