Activity to attract and motivate students

Starting new school year 2016 - 2017, LHU has approved to present more than 2,000 scholarships to new students and excellent current students. Particularly this year, the total value of scholarship program is worth nearly VND 3 billion to serve "Giving strength to new students" Fund and "Study Encouragement" Fund of LHU.

Chairwoman of the Union of Dong Nai provincial Science and Technology Associations Nguyen Thi Thu Lan awarded certificates of merit and scholarships to excellent students in 2015 scientific research.

In order to attract and motivate new students, LHU has established Scholarship Fund "Giving strength to new students". For the past ten years, this Fund has strongly upholden its role in drawing talents to LHU and has become familiar to generations of students. Moreover, this scholarship program has become a meaningful and practical activity, helping to encourage students to take more effort in study and training, especially in entrance exams.

Based on 2016 student enrollment result counted by Department of Academic Affairs, LHU Management Board decides to grant eight scholarships to new eight students for their high academic achievement including one worth VND 30 million, six scholarships each worth VND 18 million and one worth VND 9 million. This scholarship value is based on school fee table 2016 - 2017 signed by LHU Rector.

In addition to scholarship program for new students, LHU established Study Encouragement Fund to encourage current students to continue to study and research. This Fund invested to VND 2 billion each year, aims to present to students who achieve excellent academic result, students who get high achievement in graduation exam and poor studious students.

In 2015 - 2016 academic summary report, LHU has awarded nearly 1, 300 scholarships including nearly 300 for excellent level students and more than 1,000 for good level students. This school year, the University will bestow merit to 621 good level graduates and 81 excellent level graduates. Also, 234 scholarships will given to poor studious students. Scholarship awarding activities will take place at New School Year Opening Ceremony 2016 - 2017 held on October 20.
