LHU students took Third place at Shell NXPlorers Pro contest

Recently on February 17, the Power team from LHU confidently won Third prize at the "Minds That Shine" Gala. This is the Shell NXPlorers Pro contest firstly organized in Vietnam by Shell Vietnam. Mr. Darren Graham Mcpherson - General Director of Shell Vietnam also attended the event.

NXplorers is an innovative and proven educational program, aiming to help young people develop critical thinking, develop knowledge and provide future owners with the tools and skills to address and solve complex problems.

NXplorers has two versions: NXplorers Junior for middle and high school students, and NXplorers Pro for university students, graduate students and young workers.

The Shell NXPlorers Pro competition attracted the participation of teams from many universities.

To join the competition, LHU students attended a three-day class to learn about the tools of Systems Thinking, Scenario Building, Theory of Change. Then, they worked in groups and presented their ideas at the Gala.

Shell Vietnam organized 5 classes with 105 students. Of a total of 27 topics, 10 best ones were selected. In which, LHU had five teams named in the Top 10. Two of them (Power and Phoenix Power) were listed in the Top 5, together with HCM City University of Technology and University of Technology and Education.

LHU students won the Third prize at the Shell NXPlorers Pro compettion with the idea of "Using biogas to produce electricity for rural areas"

The team Power including Bui Nguyen Minh Triet (Faculty of English Language), Nguyen Thi Kim Anh (Faculty of Oriental Studies), Nguyen Thanh Ha and Hoang Minh Tuyet from Faculty of Pharmacy excellently won the Third prize at the Shell NXPlorers Pro finale with the topic "Using biogas to produce electricity for rural areas" aiming to support people in remote areas without electricity to access Biogas technology to generate free electricity and help them light up their homes.
