Nguyen Bich Phuong wins 2025 Dong Nai provincial Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association Japanese Speech Contest

The Department of Japanese Studies, under the Faculty of Oriental Studies, LHU in collaboration with the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of Dong Nai province on October 9, 2025 successfully organized the final round of the Japanese Speech Contest 2025.

The event was honored to welcome distinguished guests including Ms. Tran Thuy Tien – Vice Chairwoman of the Dong Nai Union of Friendship Organizations; Mr. Nguyen Van Quyet – Chairman of the Vietnam–Japan Friendship Association of Dong Nai Province; and representatives from Kureha Vietnam Co., Ltd., Muro Engineering Vietnam Co., Ltd., and Sonadezi College of Technology and Management.

From LHU, participants included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Lan – Vice Rector; Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu Thuong – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies; Ms. Tran Minh Thuy Duong – Head of the Department of Japanese Studies; along with Japanese experts, lecturers, and students of the Department.

This year’s theme “The journey of learning Japanese – Challenges and opportunities” was both relatable and profound, conveying a meaningful message about the spirit of learning and Vietnam–Japan cultural exchange. Notably, the contest expanded its participation to include staff and employees from enterprises across Dong Nai Province, reflecting the strong spread of Japanese language learning within the community.

The finale featured 17 impressive speeches showcasing creative ideas to further strengthen the friendship between Vietnam and Japan.

With fairness and professionalism, the judging panel selected the following outstanding contestants:
