Exchange program themed “LH- B7 – the way to Bangkok” held at Lac Hong

In the evening of June 29, 2011, the program entitled “LH- B7 – the way to Bangkok” was jointly held by Vietnam Television and Lac Hong University and took place at room A301, Lac Hong University, Dong Nai Province with the participation of team members of Robocon Vietnam 2011, the Managing Board, and singers invited from Ho Chi Minh City.
 
Attending the event was Dr. Tran Hanh – Rector of Lac Hong, members of the Managing Board, leaders of faculties, departments and centers, teachers and students and three members of LH- B7 representing Vietnam to participate in the coming contest held in Bangkok, Thailand in August and Robocon Instruction Board 2011. In addition, there was the present of singers Ho Quynh Huong, Thu Thuy and other music bands from Ho Chi Minh City and the school’s performance teams.

The program was telecast live from Lac Hong University. Therefore, nationwide viewers had opportunity to see champion’s portraits of Robocon 2011- LH- B7 in real life, studies, research as well as in robot interest.

Speaking at the event, Dr Tran Hanh said the robocon team has been well prepared for the competition. He also stressed the importance of solidarity between the team and the whole school not only in the robocon movement but also in implementing the school’s missions “Training human resources, Breeding ground for young talents, Graduates get jobs immediately without retraining programs.”
 
Besides, the program has introduced robot products invented by students such as firework shooting robot, topography-studying robot, pixel identifying robot. The viewers were so surprised at Lac Hong students’ creativity.
 
Concluding the program, the School Managing Board also presented some gifts to the three members of LH- B7 for their efforts and achievements, contributing to Lac Hong’s, Dong Nai’s and Vietnam’s success.

The event ended with the song “Belief in victory” and with confidence and determination of both teacher and students. Hopefully, the Vietnamese flag again will fly in the ABU Asia-Pacific Robot Contest 2011 in Bangkok.
