A ceremony to receive Third Labor Medal and launch Robocon to Thailand

In the morning of August 25, 2011, a solemn ceremony was held at Dong Nai - based Tran Bien Temple of Literature to receive the Third Labor Medal awarded to Faculty of Electrical Engineering - Electronics and  Faculty of Electro mechanics of Lac Hong University and also to launch Robocon team to take part in the ABU Asia - Pacific Robot Contest 2011 to be held in Bangkok, Thailand in August.

  

The ceremony was attended by Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai and Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council Huynh Thi Nga, representatives from departments and agencies in the province. As for Lac Hong University, there were Meritorious Teacher Dr.  Do Huu Tai – Head of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Tran Hanh – Rector and the participation of representatives from departments and especially Robocon team representing Viet Nam in the coming Robot Contest.

 

Before the ceremony, leaders of Dong Nai province and Lac Hong University along with Robocon team burnt incense at Tran Bien Temple of Literature. At the event, the two faculties - Faculty of Electrical Engineering - Electronics and Faculty of Electro mechanics was awarded the Third Labor Medal by the State for their achievements in research activities and in Robocon movements. This is a noble reward and an encouragement for them to continue their efforts to complete their training tasks.

 

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai applauded and recognized the achievements as well as active morale of teachers and students of Lac Hong University over the past time. To assess the achievements Robocon Lac Hong has gained, he said that thanks to practical production – related research orientations, Lac Hong’s students have grasped high technology, optimal design to create fully worked-out and flexible robots.

 

Before the Robocon team sets off to Thailand, Mr. Dinh Quoc Thai on behalf of provincial leaders made careful recommendations to them about technique, psychological stability, as well as health so as to bring glory to the nation.

 

Dong Nai provincial leaders also sent their best wishes to teachers and students of Lac Hong. Hopefully, the Robocon team will continue its success, making Lac Hong a prominent name in the world technology playground.
