Vu Tran Uyen Phuong wins the 10th LHU Student Singing Competition

In order to mark 15^th anniversary of university establishment (1997 – 2012), Lac Hong University recently held the 10^th LHU Student Singing Contest 2012. The contest attracted the great participation of more than 500 registering students with 450 items. The competition experienced 3 qualifying rounds from October 25 to 28. 107 items were selected to the semifinal. Finally, the contest saw the participation of 21 items selected from the semifinal which took place from November 2 to 4.

 The final round of Student Singing Contest recently took place on November 11 at Campus 1 - Lac Hong University. It saw the attendance of Nguyen Trung Phuong, Vice Rector Dr. Nguyen Van Nam, Vice Rector Dr. Diep Cam Thu, representatives from departments, comrades in Youth Union – Student Association, local press units and a great number of teachers, students at all levels. Board of examiners consisted of musician Duy Thai - Dean of Vocal Music of Dong Nai College of Culture and Arts , singer Phuong Tuyen - Vocal music lecturer and musician Vo Van Ly.

The final contest began with fascinating performances by 21 items. As a result, Vu Tran Uyen Phuong (Class 11TC112) has won the 10^th Lac Hong University Student Singing Competition with the song Ve an com. Giac mo tro lai of group Soi Con (Class 11TC111) won the first prize at duet, trio and group genre. Dancing item Tinh ngưoi chien si tren manh đat vung cao belonged to group of the Faculty of Business Administration and Foreign Trade (FBAFT).
