Seminar on “Reading, understanding and analyzing financial statements of listed companies”

In the morning of 20 December 12, 2012, a seminar entitled “Reading, understanding and analyzing financial statements of listed companies” was held at A301 meeting-hall - Lac Hong University by Faculty of Banking and Finance. The seminar aimed to help students of Banking and Finance widen practical knowledge and to make preparations for students who are going to join in research activity next semester.

The seminar was attended by Dr. Nguyen Van Nam - Vice Rector, Mr. Tran Ngoc Hoang – Director of Bien Hoa Auditing and Accounting Company, Mr. Hoang Nguyen Anh Thu – Deputy Director of Maritime Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Maritime Bank) - Dong Nai branch, Ms. Le Thi Kim Nhung – Manager of Tan Bien Customer Service Center - Dong Nai branch Maritime Bank, faculty’s Managing Board, teachers and a great number of students.

The Faculty of Banking and Finance always innovates the content and enhances the quality of seminars, helping to improve students’ ability to acquire knowledge with various special subjects. The seminar this time consisted of two parts: speeches of of speakers and a small game show. At the first part, students were provided precious information about understanding and analyzing financial reports of listed companies by invited speakers. To the second part, students were excited to compete in a small contest at the seminar. They successfully applied their knowledge in analyzing  financial statements of posted companies.

The seminar successfully ended. It is hoped that through this seminar, students of Banking and Finance can read, understand and analyze financial statements of current listed companies. See all teachers, delegates and students next seminar.
