Flower arranging contest to mark Int’l Women’s Day

As usual, on 7 March 2013, at Room F501, campus 4 of Lac Hong University, a flower arranging contest was held by the Faculty of Business Administration and Foreign Trade’s Youth Union to celebrate the International Women’s Day. The competition attracted the participation of 33 teams and great interest from teachers. Each included 3 members including one boy and two girl students. This is a great occasion for schoolboys to show their affection to schoolgirls.

Dr. Nguyen Van Nam - Dean of the Faculty delivered an opening speech at the event.

Each participating team had 45 minutes to finish their work. The contest consisted of two parts. The first one was flower arrangement and the second part was concept presentation. As a result, the Board of Jury has selected 11 teams advancing to the concept presenting part. In this round, these teams had chances to express their love and respect to their mothers, sisters and themselves and the presentations kindled the feelings and emotions of the audience.

The teams were designing the flowers.    

After hours of working very hard, the Jury has chosen the best flower arranging teams. The 1st place belonged to the team 10QT113; the 2nd place by the team 11QT114 and the 3rd by 10QT113 team. The teams of 11NT112, 10QK111 and 10LU111 won Consolation prizes. Especially, the team 11QT113 won prize of the best presentation and best flower design while the team 12QT311 received the prize of the most creative.

The contest did end, through impressive arrangements of colorful flowers, illustrating for the love, hope, respect, best wishes to all the women.
