Meeting to celebrate Int’l Women’s Day

A meeting was held at Lac Hong University on 8 March to mark the 103rd anniversary of International Women’s Day and to honor achievements as well as contributions made by women of Lac Hong in the past year.

Attending the meeting was People’s Teacher Dr. Do Hui Tai – Rector; Dr. Diep Cam Thu – Vice Rector, Chairman of Trade Union, Mr. Nguyen Trung Phuong – Secretary of the Party Committee, Ms. Ho Thi Hai Yen – Head of Women’s Board, all men and women of Lac Hong University.

Head of the university's Women Board made a report at the meeting.  

Addressing at the meeting, Ms Yen has recorded efforts and achievements the Women’s Board has made over the past year and also pointed out plans and goals in 2013.

In his part, Dr. Diep Cam Thu acknowledged great contributions made by all staff in general and women in particular in building the university’s education and training. He also expressed his hope that the university’s staff would continue their efforts to achieve more good results in working.

On behalf of the Party Committee, Mr. Phuong praised the contributions made by women and expressed his best wishes to them on the occasion.

Representing the leadership, Rector Do Huu Tai sent meaningful gifts to all women of Lac Hong University. Also, at the meeting, the awarding ceremony of the cooking contest which was held on the same day took place. The best cooking teams were awarded certificates of merit and bonuses. Besides, group leaders of Trade Union branches were presented gifts for their contributions at the meeting.
