LHU youth join in summer volunteer campaign

In the morning of June 8, LHU youth attended a meeting to launch the summer voluntary campaign 2013 held by the Dong Nai Youth Union. The event took place at Tan Phu high school in Dinh Quan district.

3,000 students and young people across the province attended the meeting under the theme "Dong Nai youths participate in promoting urban civilization and new rural construction". The summer voluntary campaign 2013 of Dong Nai youth will concentrate on seven main activities, namely participating in urban civilization and new rural construction; environment protection, dealing with climate change, preventing disasters and diseases; "Giving strength to exam season", "Giving strength to school" programs; caring for community health, voluntary blood donation; "Returning the favor", "When drinking water, remember its source" activities; taking care of and educating teenagers and young children.

On this occasion, Dong Nai Youth Union in cooperation with provincial Social Insurance handed over a charitable house valued at VND 30 million to a poor family and 10 gifts to difficult households in Dinh Quan district.

After the meeting, LHU youth together with thousand of participants cleaned and tidied up Tan Phu high school and nearby areas.
