LHU admitted more overseas students

In late 2012, Lac Hong University received more than 100 students of Champasak province - Laos and Cambodia to learn Vietnamese language and the course were successfully closed in last August. In the morning of September 30, before the upcoming new school year, Vice Rector Meritorious Teacher Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Lan - on behalf of the University Management Board together with representatives of Academic Affairs, International Relations, Oriental Studies and Dormitory Management Board warmly welcomed Mr. Tran Van Toi - Vice Chairman of Vietnamese Cambodian Federation (VCF) in Cambodia - Chairman of VCF in Phnom Penh, parents and eight Cambodian students.

At the admission session, Vice Rector Nguyen Thi Thu Lan expressed her honor to receive the province's trust in assigning the training of  human resources for Cambodian brother. Also, this training activity contributes to strengthen close tie with Cambodia. Therefore, LHU has been taking every effort to develop the curriculum and create the best environment for overseas students.

In addition, representative of Academic Affairs Luu Ngoc Cuong added that besides training expenditure granted by Dong Nai province People's Committee, the University would develop curricular, arrange study place, supervise and report study results after the course ended. According to the University training plan, students will learn Vietnamese language at Oriental Studies and stay at University's dormitory. The University pays special attention to creating best conditions to facilitate all aspects of oversees students.

In recent years, from the young human resources development plan between provincial People's Committee and brother provinces in Laos and Cambodia, LHU has proved provincial leaders’ trust and hope in undertaking the duty of training and developing human resources of the two countries - Laos and Cambodia. In addition to offering Vietnamese language classes, in 2012 first overseas students have finished their BA and Eng. programs at LHU. This is an encouraging result, opening more admission programs for overseas students.
