Lac Hong University held new school year opening ceremony 2013 - 2014

In the morning October 30, a solemn ceremony was held at Lac Hong University to open its new school year 2013 – 2014 and to grant diplomas to new graduates.

The ceremony saw the great participation of representative of the Ministry of Education and Training Mr. Do Huu Tuyet - Vice Director the Ministry of Education and Training Agency in Ho Chi Minh city;  Ms. Huynh Thi Nga - Vice Chairwoman of Dong Nai Provincial People’s Council; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tri - Vice Chairman of Dong Nai provincial People's Committee; Mr. Le Minh Hoang - Director of Dong Nai provincial Department of Education and Training; representative of departments, boards, and agencies in Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai province, representatives of associate enterprises; representative of LHU's Management Board - People's Teacher Dr. Do Huu Tai - Rector, Chairman of the Trustees Board; Mr. Nguyen Trung Phuong - Secretary of Party Committee and a large number of teachers and students of the University. 

Over 16 years of establishment and development, the ceremony again marked big turning-points of the University. This was also an occasion to close and assess activities as well as to acknowledge achievements of all men and women of the University.

In his opening speech, on behalf of the University Management Board, People's Teacher Dr. Do Huu Tai has gone through the closing report 2012 - 2013 which included advantages and disadvantages, and then laid stress on new duties and tasks of the new school year.

Speaking at the event, on behalf of the MOET leadership, Mr. Tuyet praised the efforts and achievements Lac Hong University has made for the past year.

Also at the ceremony, Vice Rector Lam Thanh Hien, MSc representing the University Management Board revealed commendation and scholarship funds offered to students. In 2013 - 2014, the total value of study encouragement fund reaches VND 5 billion, including VND 2 billion for excellent students and the rest for newly entering students and poor studious students. In addition, associate enterprises handed over scholarship worth nearly VND 350 million to the University.

Ending the ceremony, the University granted diplomas to new masters, new bachelors and engineers.
