"Moon Festival" 2010 Mid-Autumn

Evening of September 12^th, 2010, the lantern contest with the theme “Moon Festival”- 2010 Mid-Autumn held by Business Administration and International Trade Department took place at Campus 2 of Lac Hong University. The contest attracted more than 30 branches of the Youth Union of the Department.

As for Business Administration and International Trade Department, there were attendances of Tran Trong Phong, MA- a Secretary of branch 8, Head of the jury, Ms. Tran Ngoc Thuy - Deputy Secretary of branch 8, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hai – Commissioner of Secretariat of Student Association, Head of inter-party chapters of the Department. As for Union- Student Association, there was Mr. Tran Minh Hoang - Vice Secretary of the Union, Commissioner of Secretariat of Student Association. There was also presence of teachers of the faculty and Dong Nai Newspaper in the program.

After more than an hour making lanterns, the teams had to experience presentations on topics and the meanings of their lanterns. Final results are as follows:

Class 08QT113 – Love Star - First Prize
-09NT113 - Happy Pig - Second Prize
-09QT111 - The Knowledge Boat – Third Prize
-09NT112 - The Dream Boat – Consolation Prize

-EventStar Team – The millennium of Thang Long - Ha Noi- Consolation Prize

After the competition, the teams walked with lanterns lit from Campus 2 to Buu Long intersection and vice versa.

After the Moon Festival, organizers collected 486 thousand VND from tickets and from participating teams. All of mentioned-above lanterns and money will be spent on gifts, cakes, books and school supply to give children at Center for Disabled Orphans in Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai province from 6:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m on September 19^th.
