LHU accompanies Robocon Vietnam to Egypt with confidence.
Since established until now, teachers and students of Lac Hong University have been trying their best to innovate its training and determined to promote scientific research. It can be said this is the first school to successfully build the model of "School and businesses conduct research and use its results". Production processes of enterprises require the recovery of damaged parts and equipment supplement for production lines.
This fact has put in a request of using embedded technology in research. To do this, Robot technology must be good. Handshake between school and businesses during the long research procedures not only brings the enterprises convenience in their manufacturing processes but also helps the school build its good reputation in the Robotic Contest 2010.
Afternoon of September 16th, 2010, Lac Hong University held a ceremony to reward the Robocon 2010 and congratulated Lac Hong Robot team representing Vietnam to participate in Asia- Pacific Robot Contest 2010.
Robocon Vietnam this year gathered more than 300 teams from universities and colleges nationwide. Surpassing teams with great achievements in Robotic Contests, LHU LH-LED team won the championship and honored to stand for Vietnam to take part in forthcoming Robocon.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Vo Van Mot - Chairman of Dong Nai provincial People's Committee, Mr. Huynh Chi Thang - Vice Chairman of provincial People's Council, Ms Nguyen Thi Kim Lien - Chairwoman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Vietnam , Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung - Deputy Head of the Board of Emulation and Reward - Dong Nai Department of Internal Affairs. There were also Representatives of the provincial Departments and Committees, and LHU teachers in the Board of Trustees, Managing Board and leaders of Offices, Departments and Centers.
Talking about this victory, "Bringing honor to Lac Hong University and Dong Nai province, the school's Robot teams have excellently completed their tasks assigned. On behalf of the provincial leadership, I commend achievements the Robot teams have gained, especially the team representing Vietnam to attend international Robocon ahead. I also welcome the positive morale of teachers and students of Lac Hong University in recent years", said Mr. Vo Van Mot. On behalf of the school leadership, Dr. Tran Hanh thanked Dong Nai provincial leadership for its attention to the school’s Robocon.
Also, at the ceremony, Nguyen Ba Thuan MA - Deputy Head of Group in charge of Robot team participating in the tournament in Egypt reported the preparation work for the delegation before going. After victory, Lac Hong University teachers and students have determined now not LH-LED team but Vietnam team on behalf of students nationwide to participate in international competition. After the championship day, under the direction of the principal, a detailed plan to upgrade robots and to arrange staff in the team as well as the procedures involved has been deployed. With spirit strength of collectives, leaders along with the most excellent students have gathered, analyzing advantages and disadvantages of each idea and each plan. After over a month upgrading existing Robots and making Robots with new ideas, competitions were done to choose the best robots and solutions. After 2 months and a half preparing, all the robots as well as competitive spirit of the team members were greatly improved.
On September 18th, 18 members of Vietnam Robot team will set off to Cairo - Egypt participating in Asia- Pacific Robot Contest. With careful preparation and victory trust, we can be confident to say that the Vietnam Robot team will rank high in this international competition.
