Dr. Tran Hanh received Guilin University of Technology (China)
In the morning of November 9th, 2010, Dr. Tran Hanh - Headmaster of Lac Hong University had a meeting and working with Assoc. Prof. Chen Wenqien - Director of the Center for International Relations of Guilin University of Technology.
Founded in 1956, Guilin University of Technology (GUT) offers 49 undergraduate programs and 35 postgraduate programs in which key sector is technology. Currently, GUT has more than 17,000 full time students in which more than 60 are Vietnamese students.
During the reception, Dr. Tran Hanh presented to representatives of GUT the strengths of Lac Hong University particularly in the field of technology. He also showed that Dong Nai province currently has many Chinese enterprises. Therefore, learning Chinese language and its culture is in great demand. Chinese major of Oriental Studies Lac Hong University is a prestigious training address meeting the increasing demands for labor markets. Dr. Tran Hanh also wishes through the good relationship between Lac Hong University and GUT, Chinese branch of LHU will take steps to develop its training programs, quality of teaching, etc,…In addition, through this connection, the school can conduct postgraduate programs in Tourism Management, Environmental Science, Materials Science, Computer Engineering, etc,… at GUT.
On behalf of Guilin University of Technology, Assoc. Prof. Chen Wenqien thanked Dr. Tran Hanh for his enthusiastic welcome. He added that if the school feels a need, GUT may appoint its teachers to participate in teaching for Chinese branch of Oriental Studies Lac Hong University. The cooperation between the two schools will be established as soon as the memorundum of understanding is signed next time.
