Lac Hong University starts Green Summer 2011 Campaign

A meeting to launch the summer voluntary campaign 2011 was held by Lac Hong University’s Youth Union on July 14 with the participation of 100 students. The students will take part in significant activities in 3 fronts: Xuan Loc – Dong Nai,  TuMoRong – Kon Tum, Quang Tri provinces and in Bien Hoa city.

 

The launching  ceremony was attended by Comrade Nguyen Trung Phuong – Lac Hong’s Secretary of the Party Committee, heads of departments, agencies, and centers, Comrade Le Son Quang – Secretary of school’ Union, Comrade Tran Tien – Chairman of school’s Students’ Association, Comrade Nguyen Binh Nam – Commissioner of Standing Committee, Head of TNCNDT provincial Group  and 100 voluntary students. In addition, there was  the present of representatives of VNPT Dong Nai, Dong Nai Radio and Television and Dong Nai, Thanh Nien, Tuoi Tre newspapers.

 

The campaign will begin from July 14 and conclude on July 30, 2011. Among 100 volunteer students, there are 5 party members, 17 candidates for the Vietnamese Communist Party and the rest of them are youth union members.  The volunteers will take part in meaningful activities at the fronts – presenting gifts, providing free medical check-ups, offering free medicines to poor households, children and ethnic minority people and various culture, education and health care-related activities.

 

The summer campaign will close at Tran Bien Temple of Literature on August 15, 2011. Hopefully, Lac Hong University’s Green Summer 2011 Voluntary Campaign will leave deep impressions on the local people.
