The press conference on FAIR held at Lac Hong Universtiy

The 5^th National Conference on Fundamental and Applied IT Research (FAIR for short) presided over by Fundamental Research Fund now called National Foundation for Science and Technology Development (NAFOSTED for short) will be held at Lac Hong University in Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai province on August 11 and 12, 2011.

 

Earlier, the Organizing Board on August 10 held a press conference for people to understand more about preparation steps for the event, the history and development process of FAIR conference as well as approaches to financial resources from NAFOSTED Fund.

 

Attending the press conference was Rector of Lac Hong University, Head of Organizing Board Tran Hanh, Deputy Director of NAFOSTED Do Phuong Lan, Chairman of Science Council of Institute of Information Technology, Co-Head of Organizing Board Vu Duc Thi. In addition, there was the presence of representatives of Tuoi Tre, Thanh Nien, Labour Newspapers … and Ho Chi Minh City Television, Dong Nai Television.

At the conference, the Organizing Board introduced some basic features about NAFOSTED Fund and methods to fund for research work including information technology. Information about the origin and development of FAIR conference over periods – fundamental research, information technology and computers … was also presented.

 

This is the second time Lac Hong University holds the National Science Research Conference, so it has much experience in organization. With a good preparation, Lac Hong University hopes to be a good fellow in national conferences such as @ 2009, FAIR 2011…
