FAIR Conference 2011 opened at Lac Hong University

In the morning of August 11, the 5^th National Conference on Fundamental and Applied IT Research presided over by NAFOSTED (National Foundation for Science and Technology Development) officially took place at Lac Hong University in Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai province.

 

Attending the conference was Department Head of Science Technology and Environment, Ministry of Education and Training Ta Đuc Thinh, Chairman of Science Council of Institute of Information Technology, Co-Head of Organizing Board Vu Duc Thi, Chairman of Science Council of Computer Science and Information Technology Faculty, Head of Organizing Board Dang Quang A, Rector of Lac Hong University Tran Hanh, Board members and the participation of 300 nationwide scientists of information technology.

 

FAIR conference (Fundamental and Applied IT Research) was first held on October, 2003 at Vietnam National University, Ha Noi (now called University of Engineering and Technology), on September, 2005 at Ho Chi Minh city University of Technology for the second time and on August, 2007 at Nha Trang University for the third time. Based on financial resources from NAFOSTED, the 4^th FAIR was again held at University of Engineering and Technology on December, 2009 and on August, 2011 at Lac Hong University for the 5^th time. The FAIR conference has attracted the participation of a large number of leading scientists of IT, researchers, teachers, and IT managers across the country.
