A ceremony to receive Laotian students

In the morning of October 24, 2012, implementing Dong Nai province Directorate Board’s direction, Lac Hong University organized a ceremony to receive 103 Laotian students coming from Champasak province. Previously, university’s International Relations picked up the Lao delegation at Hoa Lu border gate, Binh Phuoc province. The delegation was accommodated in university’s dorm and it participated in a reception with Dong Nai leaders, Department of Education and Training, university leaders in the afternoon of the same day.

As tentatively scheduled, 103 students will be taught Vietnamese by the university in the first year. The following years they can study majors in 8 universities and colleges in Dong Nai province including Lac Hong University. So far 2 courses for Lao students have been trained in Lac Hong University with specific subjects of economics and engineering.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Rector Lam Thanh Hien, M.A expressed his welcome to representatives of Champasak province and 103 students. He said “We will create every good condition to support these students during their study so that they can fulfill their Vietnamese speaking”. It is hoped that with care and close cooperation between Dong Nai’s leaders, Champasak’s leaders and parents and enthusiastic support from Lac Hong University and other universities and colleges, 103 Laotian students will make every effort to study well in Dong Nai to bring their knowledge so as to build their country.
