Do Thuy won third prize at National Korean singing contest

On 16 December, 2012 the National Korean singing contest with the theme “Music Arm 2012” (Vong tay Am nhac) took place at Hoa Binh theatre (No. 240, Street 3/2, Ward 12, District 10, Ho Chi Minh city) by the Korean consulate general in Ho Chi Minh city in cooperation with VTV Television. The contest was broadcast direct on VTV 9.

Do Thuy of class 09DH111 – Korean Studies – Faculty of Oriental Studies representing Lac Hong University overcame qualifying rounds in the Southern region taken place on November 11 and present at the final round of the contest. As a highly-appreciated candidate in the South from good voice to Korean song performing ability, Do Thuy has smartly used her Korean language trained at the university and upheld her soprano and clear singing voice. With the chorus including 12 students of class 09DH111, Do Thuy has won the third prize at National Korean singing contest.

The contest consisted of two rounds taken place across the country. Although, this is the first time it was held on occasion of the 20^th anniversary of Korea - Vietnam relationship, the contest attract the participation of a great number of candidates from Korean companies, enterprises and Korean training universities.

As a result, Tran Thi Mong Thuong (Kumho E&C Company) won the first prize with the song Dinh menh. The second prize belonged to Nguyen Thi Lan Anh (Ha Noi University) with If I leave. And Do Thi Thuy of Lac Hong University won the third prize with Dat nuoc xinh dep.

Grown up from movements and arts playgrounds of students, Do Thuy has been gaining her confidence as well as dynamic manner from voluntary green summers, competitions such as Lac Hong University Student Singing, National Student Singing, K -POP in Ha Noi in August, 2012…

The achievement Thuy has gained is not only her happiness but also the honor of Koran Studies - Faculty of Oriental Studies and of the university as well. It can be said that students of Lac Hong University have actively been involving in big playgrounds, bringing their talent and knowledge to conquer national contests.
