Lac Hong University won one First and one Second at Vietnam Young Science Talent Award 2012 for Students
Vietnam Young Science Talent Award 2012 for Students was secondly held by the Ministry of Education and Training in cooperation with the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Vietnam Union Of Science And Technology Association (Vietnam Fund For Supporting Technological Creations - VIFOTEC), the Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Vietnam Television and Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).
In 2012, there were 311 research works of students coming from 88 nationwide universities participating in "Vietnam Young Science Talent Award 2012 for Students". Among them, there were 279 works of 77 public universities and 32 works of 11 non - public ones.
As a result, there were 11 First, 20 Second, 70 Third, 126 Consolation and 84 no-prizes. Non - public universities had 1 First, 2 Second, 4 Third and 11 Consolation.
About ranking, VNU University of Science ranked 1st with 2 First. University of Economics Ho Chi Minh city ranked 2nd with 1 First, 2 Second, 4 Third. Ho Chi Minh city University of Education ranked 3rd with 1 First, 2 Second, 1 Third. The 4 fourth and fifth ranks belonged to Da Nang University of Economics and Thai Nguyen University of Science, respectively.
Lac Hong University ranked the 6th with 1 First and 1 Second. It was the only non-public university which won First prize.
