Robot design contest 2011
After achieving the second prize of Asia Pacific Robot Contest 2010, Lac Hong University students’ scientific research activities in general and robocon movement of engineering students in particular have become more exciting and attractive. This resounding success has become the engineering students’ great honor, thus arousing their determination to conquer the summit of glory including those who are freshmen. Since its launching Robocon 2011, the whole school has attracted 35 teams registered to participate in competitions.
In the morning of 24th November, 2010, at Room B203, the robot design competition 2011 took place. With the theme “Loy Krathong”, participating teams presented their design ideas and calculations for the fastest speed robots, ensuring accuracy when dropping a flower cup ... After considering their reports, Dr. Tran Hanh – Rector of Lac Hong University made some suggestions for these teams to clarify their design ideas, especially those calculations to solve the problems of competition rules 2011. He also asked the teams to specifically indicate equipment used to assemble robots, to clearly state which devices they can afford and propose which ones they need.
The robot design contest took place all day of 24th. After this competition, 35 teams will officially compete on forthcoming 15th November, 2011.
Hopefully, with the spirit of passion to study and desire to conquer the summit of glory of Asia - Pacific Robot Contest, the robocon movement 2011 of Lac Hong University will be successful.
