Entering the semifinal round, Vietnam met Thailand 2. Manual machine of Vietnam’s team completed its task faster than that of Thailand 2 nearly 20 seconds.  The Vietnam’s team was highly appreciated as a strong rival by experts. However, due to a small problem of automatic machine 2, the team lost its initial speed, As a result, the Vietnam's team missed the chance to enter the final round of the contest, helping Thailand win the championship title.

Ending the contest, the two teams from Thailand’s Dhurakij Pundit University and Kampaengphet College won the gold and silver medals of the Asia-Pacific Robot Contest 2011.
