A ceremony to review the 5-year dormitory building model

Attending the ceremony was  Colonel Huynh Ngoc Phuong - Deputy Director General of Movement Building Bureau "the whole people protect the national security”, Mr. Do Quoc Anh – Director General, Director of representative agency of the Ministry of Education and Training in Ho Chi Minh city, Chairwoman of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Thi Kim Lien, Major General Nguyen Van Khanh - Director of Dong Nai Police and other  representatives.

 

The dormitory was established in 2005 and brought into operation in 2006. So far, it has accommodated over 6000 turns of students.  Since its foundation, Lac Hong University has coordinated with X28 Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security and Dong Nai provincial Police deploying the model “The dormitory - Safety – Civilization - No crime and social evils”. This model is a breakthrough in mobilizing students to actively participate in the Resolution 09/CP – National Crime Prevention Program of the government.

 

At the ceremony, Dr. Tran Hanh – Rector of the university made a summary report of the 5 year model building the dormitory “Safety – Civilization - No crime and social evils”. The results gained from the model has greatly contributed to healthy environment and solidarity, facilitating students to study well. He also affirmed that the university will continue to promote active activities in preventing crime and social evils. Committees, departments, agencies, teachers and students at all levels have to consider crime prevention as a key task like education mission or scientific research. The university is determined turn the model “The dormitory - Safety – Civilization - No crime and social evils” into a typical one among universities, colleges, vocational training in the region and Southern provinces.

 

On behalf of room PA83, the dormitory’s Management Board, Buu Long ward’s Police, the Youth Union, Department of Student Affairs reported their implementation processes and results as well as experience in management, in carrying out instructions and in building the model.

 

Also at the event, the Ministry of Public Security awarded certificates of merit to collectives and individuals for their outstanding achievements in movement “The dormitory - Safety – Civilization - No crime and social evils” for the past five years.
